Tyler, for his senior skit, wore a "WOMEN LOVE ME" T-shirt as dancing girls in slinky black dresses encircled him. On a trip to Atlantic City for his 21st birthday, accidentally left the bathroom water running and flooded the hotel. Tyler seems to be one of the many great people that were lost on that day, only being 23 years old, his life was nearly beginning. Who knows what he could have accomplished. This is a man that gave back already and still is through his foundation and belief in athletics and basketball. I have learned that no matter how many people think someone is great, life is life, and sometimes people only make it to 23 years old. I can apply this to my life by living life as if it were my last day here, and thinking what i left behind so far, and how i can affect the world when I am gone some day.

Remembering Tyler Ugolyn
I'm writing to remember Tyler Ugolyn, a former college basketball player at 6 foot 4 inches. He played for Columbia university until injured. Then moving to work as a research associate with Fred Alger Management Inc. He also started a program that goes to small inner-city basketball programs to help to refurbish and improve basketball courts.

On a trip to Atlantic City for his 21st birthday, accidentally left the bathroom water running and flooded the hotel. He sounds like he was the life of the party kind of guy. It's unfortunate he died so young.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great thing go apply to your life. None of us know when our last day will be on this earth. This 9/11 story and many of the other ones are helping me realize that we should not take anything for granted and live every moment to the fullest so we can leave behind something that others will remember when we are not here any more.
ReplyDeleteThis guy sounds as absent-minded as me. I forget things all of the time, and although I haven't flooded any hotels, I sympathize with the lapses of memory. I wish I could have known Tyler. He seemed like a great guy who I could have shared a few laughs with, and I'm sure his friends and family miss him. I hope that although his family never forgets him, they will learn to cope with his death by remembering his life.
