Exploration 3: Education

I learn best when I can visually see things and can relate situations to real life problems or events. When relating to other things I can remember what we learned by picturing the example that was given. I also learn best by reviewing things over and over whether it be by making note cards, rewriting notes, or typing out key concepts. The more I practice and review the better chance I have of learning new information. Throughout my senior year of high school we read a lot of novels, my teacher taught us to right in the margins, take notes, make charts, list out characters and because I got use to writing down important information I can still remember the major themes, characters, and events in those books.
The purpose of getting an education is mainly for the hopes of getting a degree so I can get hired into the job of my dreams and be able to make enough money to support myself and future family. I also feel like there is so much information out in the world, that we did not learn in high school. Getting a college education can help us specialize in a certain field where we can expand on our knowledge from high school and share with others and in the workplace.
Education in my future means getting hired into a field where I will enjoy doing what I do. If I am going to be working for the next 30 plus years of my life to be able to support myself and my family I want to have a job where I do not dread going everyday but have a passion for what I do. I am optimistic about my path. I feel like the right doors will open at the right time so that I am able to hopefully use my education to the fullest potential.

  1. I agree. For example when I am Learning math I do the best when I have multiple examples of the material and use it as a guide when doing homework.

  2. Ya, I agree with most of what you said but I especially like your take on the future. I like that you want to do something and have a job where you don't dread it and actually enjoy and look forward to it.
