Exploration 3: Education- Taylor Wade

I see myself as being a visual and kinesthetic learner. I learn best when I can have something explained while seeing it happen and trying it for myself. It helps me when new things are introduced or gone through twice. The first time being explained and writing senselessly while listening to the explanation. The second time working through it with guidance and trying to actually understand what I'm doing.  Like in math classes, that's where I learn best. When learning how to solve math problems usually the teacher will do the problem step-by-step while explaining how to do it. During this time I will just make sure I get everything written down even if I don't fully understand it. Then when they go through it again with less explanation is when I will make sense of what I'm doing as they do it.
I think the purpose of getting an education is to explore what you are interested in or good at. Also to be able to know what you are doing going into a career in whatever it is you're interested in or good at. With education comes a better chance of getting a job you want. In today's world, you need a college level education in almost every field. The more education may mean the better the pay too. It may just be worth the struggle and debt in the end!
With my major being accounting, I will need a strong education to get where I would like to be. It will be a lot of work and stress. So basically blood, sweat, and tears to get through college! But, I know I can make the best out of it because I don't really have any other choice to be happy in the end. If I am successful in the end, I will be happy to look back at the struggles and debt knowing that one, going through the worst got me the best and two, I will be able to pay off that debt!

  1. I'm the same way when I'm playing a sport or learning something new on the drums. But when it comes to school work, I learn best by making flashcards to review information.
