Lt. Vincent Francis Giammona was one of the brave New York fire fighters who went to help the disaster of the twin towers. In the fire house he was a joker among everybody, and was quiet helpful. Just four days earlier on Sept. 7 he was at Coney Island with his family going to an aquarium. When he went he had to ride the Cyclone he was told he would be able to get on only because he was turning forty, in four days. On September 11, his fortieth birthday, he got call to go out and help with the Twin Towers. When he passed away he left behind four young daughters and a loving wife.
What I learned form Lt. Giammona's story was to never take anything that you have for granted, and that we need to live life to the fullest, because you never know when you might pass away and I don't want to regret anything I did in those moments before it happens to me.

ReplyDeletecouldn't have said it better myself. It's unfortunate his life ended so soon. He's a true American hero.
ReplyDeleteIt was really brave of his to go off and help others that day. Living life to the fullest is what will make it all worth it.
