Remembering Andrew Anthony Abate

Andrew Anthony Abate, 37, was one of the multitude of victims of 9/11, but that's not all that can be said of him. A bond trader by choice and a racquetball player out of passion, Abate led a life dominated by his impulsive and carefree personality. He was known for doing a number of things spur-of-the-moment, such as booking a flight out to Las Vegas for the weekend or going with his wife down to his brothers' rented house on the Jersey Shore for a barbecue and fun in the sun.
Abate is survived by an extended family and network of friends that hold him in the highest esteem to this day. He is not forgotten.
One thing that can be learned from Abate's life is that life is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest in order to really mean anything at all. Abate was a fun-loving and carefree individual and those are incredibly important character traits that we should all share to some degree, if only to say that we do. Honestly, a life not enjoyed is a life not lived.
