Exploration Four

Out of all the different stories throughout the documentary, the one that touched me the most was about the family the lost their mother. This text me the most because first of all I can't even imagine losing my mother, and then the older son stopped talking to his father too, Because he got remarried way too early and wouldn't let him and his siblings heal very well, also he thought the money they got from the mom's death at 9/11 was dirty so he didn't want to spend it. I like watching the stories evolve over years because then you can see how they heal, but you can also see on the anniversary of 9/11 that there still feeling sorrow and sadness. I thought it was touching towards the end when the older son started talking to his father again, even if it had started out as going out to dinner. "I finally feel like I have a father again". What I took away from this documentary is you never know what's going to happen, so live day by day and make the best of it.

  1. That definitely made Nick's one of the more moving stories, just in seeing him heal over time and reconnect with his father.

  2. I could kind of understand what Nick meant by dirty money, but I was glad that he could heal over time and reconnect with his father.

  3. His story was very affective because he lost his mom and took her old job to try to stay close to her. Also since him and his dad had a falling out I believe this made him want to be with his mom even more.
