Edelmiro Abad was a man of age 54 who was working in tower two of for fiduciary trust co. and was a victim in the 9/11 attack. Abad lived in Brooklyn with his family of a wife and three daughters. He was a senior vice president, and worked on the 90th floor of the "second tower". His daughters ranged from age 19-26. Abad was born in Spain and came to America when he was 7 years old. He would visit Spain about twice a year with his family to see his family back home. He had the chance to see his family about a month before the attack. It sounds like Edelmiro was all about his family and was a quiet, nice, and content person. It seems like he was a great husband and father.
I learned that it is important to always be a loving and positive person, especially with your families. Abad's family had some really kind things to write about him, due to the kind things he did for his family, like always going to dance recitals or visiting Spain. I think this is also how we can apply Abad's story to our lives today in that we should be loving and supportive so that when we go, in the midst of the grieving that will prevail, there is a feeling of completeness and appreciation regarding your life to others. You never know when your time will come, and it is important that you leave behind the legacy of what you wanted your life to reflect when it does.

It's sad to see nice people like die and they did not even to anything to deserve it. His wife and daughters will miss him forever and i know they are thinking about him every day.
ReplyDeleteThat guy even looks happy, like one of those grandparents who are always smiling at everyone. He must have been such a joy to everyone around him and it must have been such a pain to lose him. I wish we could do something for the families that lost loved ones like Edelmiro.
