Warning Signs

"Tom, I ain't a-gonna leave the here water. I'm a-gonna walk on down this here river." (Page 284) I believe this to be the most important moment in this chapter because Noah claims to Tom that he is leaving, and the family is slowly falling apart. This is important because this whole time the family has had a plan of staying together, and Noah decided to just leave the family. Also Noah believed that his family did not truly love him as much, and that they were growing distant. Another reason Noah probably left was that the pressure was getting to great for him to bear. Since everyone was telling them that there is no work in California, and that life on the road was becoming a burden, he probably felt that leaving the family would be the best choice for him.

The second most important event was grandma dying. This is because this broke that family apart even more. Also with Noah leaving the family, grandpa dying earlier in the story, and rose of Sharon saying she is moving to the city it feels like slowly all of the family will slowly. Since grandma died one of the most important female figures in the story went away, she seemed like the person holding the family together and now that she is gone I feel like the whole family is going to break apart even faster.

I believe that knowledge is something that is learned through books, and only have one specific thing it can be implemented to, while wisdom is something learned over time and can be used for anything and for your whole life. Wisdom can be found anywhere and from anything, I believe that it is found more in interactions among people and is more like a realization that happens. Knowledge from my life would have to be most the information I learn in school, it is all targeted towards one thing. Wisdom in my life would have to be like something that makes my life better. This relates to my life to when I was offered a drink and turned it down, knowing the effects it could have on me.
