  1. I think they gave really good interpretation of the governments actions towards the Dust Bowl and I really liked the clip they used to start. The fact about the cattle being slaughtered was something I had never heard about before I think its sad that they all had to die and go to waste like that. I think something that could have been more clear is how it directly affected the people. The video did a good job of explaining it a little but I would have liked to hear more about it.

  2. This presentation was very good! I think the strongest quality of it was the wide range of facts about the Dust bowl. It gave a bigger picture of it and I learned more about it. I really liked the theme of perseverance that the speakers talked a lot about. I think the 1 thing that wouldve made the presentation better would be to talk louder.

  3. I really enjoyed your presentation learning more about the dust bowl. The video clip that you guys showed caught my attention from the beginning. You guys did a good job covering the agricultural impacts the dust bowl had, it would have been interesting to have shared other things that were impacted during this time. It was also interesting to hear about the actions the government took to help these people out.

  4. Jordan- Good style, a little quiet. You did a good job of keeping on track and you definitely knew all of the information. You only looked at your notes like twice and you still said everything you needed to.

Raj- You spoke pretty clearly and made good eye contact. I don't know if you connected with everyone but you definitely gave it a shot. You said um a few times but it wasn't very distracting.

Presentation- I liked the video, it really helped to bring us up to speed and it caught our attention. The lesson from the presentation was good, but it could have used a little more explanation. Stuff like how exactly we should be or why.

    Overall, good job. :)

  5. I think that video you used for the presentation was really good. The video was very emotional and showed an aspect of what the people of the time were feeling. I learned a lot from your presentation but what really stuck to me was that the government would buy cattle from the farmers and sometimes it would go to waste even though people could have used it. Something that could have been done better would have been making eye contact with the audience. It seemed like either you looked at the screen, note card, or blankly off in the room.

  6. One thing that I learned from Jordan and Raj’s presentation was that people thought the dust bowl was the end of the world. I think that they had a good presentation; they knew what they were talking about. The only criticism that I have is that they looked at the presentation a lot and did not make eye contact.

  7. I thought that the video was very helpful, and it made me feel bad for the people that had to live back then, during that time. I also thought that you two were very knowledgeable about your topic and knew what effects it had on the people that lived back then. One thing that I thought that you two could do better was tell us some of the ways that people prevented the dust from coming in to their homes and different measures that they had to take to try and keep as much of it out as they could.

  8. I thought that the presentation was good. There were a few parts that were lacking, but the overall presentation, as well as the fact that your presentation was related back to The Grapes of Wrath, made up for it. One thing to improve upon, although it is not related to the presentation itself, it to open up your body language, it makes it seem like you are much more confident in what you are saying.

  10. The presentation was very informational. I learned that 1/3 of the farmers had to leave their homes. In my opinion, the video was the best because it had some really good footage. The only problem was the eye contact.

  11. I enjoyed watching your presentation. The dust bowl was a very big man-made disaster that affected very many farms. This would be similar to the Irish potato famine in the way that poor farming habits contributed greatly to a shortage of food.

  12. I loved the video, and you guys presented very well, not the best eye contact but I still enjoyed it.

  13. You both seemed very well informed on your topic. The powerpoint was well done and the video you showed captured the true horror of the dust bowl, especially when the old lady was talking about her time during and her grandma said to her "kids run the end of the world is coming!" I thought one thing to improve would be the eye contact and stance as you present. It seemed like you were presenting to your powerpoint.

  15. Im glad you guys added the New Deal acts that were relevant to the dust bowl. The video was a good find as well. It really gave a good idea of how it really changed the lives of people who lived it.
However, I would have liked to know some more about how it impacted agriculture. But good job overall

  16. You seemed to be very knowledgeable about the dust bowl, which is great. Also, you presented it in a very good style. I didn't know the dust bowl did that extensive amout of damage.
