This presentation was filled with a lot of good information that I never knew before and I also learned how the Prohibition had a direct impact on the Great Depression. The only thing that I would suggest to change about your presentation was to not put so much writing on your power point, the focus should be on you and I think your presentation could have been organized a little bit better. Good Job guys!
ReplyDeleteThe prohibition period is a really interesting period and probably one of the biggest events that happened during the time period. I thought the video was a really good part of your presentation, and i never knew that the government just pored the drinks in the street. Something to work on would have to be elaborating on certain parts, it seemed like you just introduced a topic and then changed it.
ReplyDeleteThe presentation overall was very informative. I didn't know a lot about prohibition but I learned that it really impacted the Great Depression. The video was very interesting. The only problem is putting less information on the powerpoint.
ReplyDeleteGreat presentation. The prohibition is a good example of how people say one thing, then go against what they had wanted. Many people did not think alcohol was necessary, leading to it being illegalized, then went and bought millions of dollars worth of alcohol from a gangster. The video was very interesting in how everyone was ready to quit cold turkey.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this presentation. It showed how such a radical decision can cause normal citizens to become criminals.
ReplyDeleteOverall your presentation was greatand you used the just right quotes. Powerpoint was alright, too wordy . The video was awesome and i think it was a great choice to use it. I felt like you guys read off the powerpoint or your notecards too much, seemed like you forgot stuff about prohibition. I did not know there were that many speakeasys in New York alone!
ReplyDeleteSam-You didn't do a lot of the talking but you knew what you were talking about. Very helpful in the presentation.
ReplyDeleteCamden- You looked at your notes quite a bit, but whenever you weren't, you were making eye contact with us. You also gave out a good chunk of the facts, so I don't blame you for looking at your notes. :)
Presentation- You both taught me something about the Prohibition. The video was interesting, and the slides were informative. Good job.
I thought you guys were very interested in what you were talking about which made the presentation more interesting to the people listening. I liked the video showing them dumping the alcohol out in street. I never really thought about it but they had to do something with it right? I do think there was a lot of reading off of the note cards so that is something that probably could have been improved.
ReplyDeleteThere's so much information out there about the prohibition. I thought they did well focusing on only a couple areas dealing with. I also liked how they related it to how some counties are still dry today. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteGreat gather of information. You guys seemed well organized and covered everything well. I liked that the government was still drinking throughout the whole prohibition.
ReplyDeleteI thought that you guys did a great job! The presentation seemed a little scattered, but other than that, I thought it was a very well. Both of you were very factual.
ReplyDeleteYour use of videos was really well done, the one where the man chases behind the booze truck, collecting what he could from the overspill was really funny, and definitely made yours one of the most refreshing and enjoyable presentations to see. Good job on breaking the mold!
