I think you gave really good detail about who he really was showing he was a gangster with morals. I didn't know that he did anything good for anybody so this is good to know when trying to understand who he was. I think something that could have been more clear was the order of events that happened in his life and how they relate to the Great Depression. The time line helped with this but I think the order of the events was the lease polished.
ReplyDeleteThis presentation was awesome! I didnt know very much about Al Capone and this presentation showed me a lot of information about him. I think the strongest quality of the presentation was good knowledge/facts. It showed throughout the presentation that the speakers knew what they were talking about and were well educated on Al Capone. I think a small weakness was that the information was slightly scattered throughout the presentation; it would've been helpful to put the information in better order. Other than that, I really enjoyed listening to this presentation.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed listening to this presentation. I did not know much about Al Capone and you guys were very knowledgeable about his life in this presentation. I never really knew he had a good side to him, that he enjoyed helping out soup kitchens and other people in need, I thought that was very interesting. One thing that could have made the presentation better was the organization of information, and explaining what his life events had to do with the Great Depression and his impact during that time period. Overall, this was a really good presentation!
ReplyDelete-Kishan: You did a good job remembering what you had to say. You seemed to speak pretty clearly.
ReplyDelete-Blake: You had most of the tidbits to add to the presentation. You have a very deep voice which carried well. You also spoke a little slower which helped to add to your clarity.
-Presentation: A good video, it made me want to watch the movie. I always thought the untouchables were the mob for some reason, so I guess I learned that. The overall presentation had a good list of the events of Al Capones life but might have needed a better side to the morality. Since we never knew him it could have been cool to leave the audience with a question more that a statement. Something along the lines of asking them if feeding the poor makes up for something like a valentines massacre. A good, informational presentation.
I learned that Al Capone was a “nice” gangster, he helped build soup kitchen for the poor. An interesting fact that I learned was that Al Capone hired the guy that gave him three scars to be his bodyguard. They had a lot of nice pictures and quotes. They interrupted each other during the presentation which was kind of confusing but overall the presentation was well done.
ReplyDeleteFrom this presentation, I learned how young Capone was when he joined the gangs, that he moved from NY to Chicago, and all of the humanitarian work he did to build up himself. Blake and Kishan both seemed very knowledgeable about Capone's life, and I thought the video clip definitely added to the presentation. I enjoyed how the presentation was mostly visual.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this presentation, it was very informative and well put together. The power point itself was professional in format and it was good how you explained why he was important during this time period.
ReplyDeleteI think you guys did a really good job covering both sides of Al Capone. He would kill off his competition but he started up soup kitchens and paid for that one lady and kid's surgery. I think the video really helped support their points. I didn't really find any problems with this group's presentation. It was very well put together.
ReplyDeleteYour presentation was very good. Al Capone was a very intelligent individual, and had shown that if you create fear upon many, many begin to accept how things are. I think the video really helped the presentation show how he truly was as a human being as apposed to what was written and then interpreted.
ReplyDeleteGREAAAAAAT. Such an enjoyable presentation. You told the whole story and gave lots of information on his whole life story.
ReplyDeleteFabulous presentation guys! I think you both did a great job describing the life of "scarface". I did not know he got an armored limo and it was used for the president too haha! Kishan, you looked professional and kept great eye contact and posture. Blake on the other hand, had poor eye contact i felt like he was starring at me or Professor Mike the whole time! i also felt that Blake took away from your presentation by chimming in randomly. However Blake seemed very factual and all knowing of the great scarface.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this presentation a lot. I liked how comfortable they seemed during their presentation. It was packed with good information, the good as well as the bad. I don't really have any criticism for this group.
ReplyDeleteYou guys did a great job describing Al Capone. The presentation was very factual. As good as it was, the best part was the presentation itself. You were both very confident and clear. Great job
ReplyDeleteI really liked the topic of Al Capone, I've always wanted to learn more about him. I liked that you used a timeline, because it worked well to describe him in his lifetime. Overall, really interesting presentation!
