When Energy Saving Becomes an Emergency

Summarize
This particular article is about all the ways that Mr. Money Mustache saves energy and money.  He says you can look at your energy bill to measure how wasteful you are.  By using a bicycle as transportation, he has cut his transportation bill by almost 90%.  He also gives recommendations on electricity bill by allowing your body to toughen up to the cold a little bit more.  Instead of buying a new A/C unit or heating unit, he recommends spending the money on trying to create a more insulated house first. Throughout the article he also gives renovation ideas on old appliances that use a lot of energy.  Each year he saves almost $13,500 on efficient energy usage.

  1. I think people are wasting money on some stupid stuff like turning the AC on when it is 80 degrees outside. I agree with Mr. Money Mustache, we should toughen up our bodies by not turning the A/C or heat on just because it's a little hot or cold. I relate to this idea because we didn't have A/C growing up and it was hard living in 90 or 100 degree weather but we got over it and now we rely on it too much.
