I think that the joads will end up being ok. Even though tom left, to be a outlaw, before he left he showed them how to do things that they didn't know how to do. They have been a resourceful family all together, and made it far. I think that if they put their heads to it, then they can do anything that the want to do. They showed us that self sacrifice is a important part of surviving if you need to, and as long as they remain humble then they will be all good.
We can make sure that another great depression never happens, just by making sure we don't follow our footwork in the past. If something bad like this does happen for some reason, if we follow the joads lead then everything will eventually get better.
The Joads absolutely do persevere through tough times, and we can learn a lot from them. What exactly is the footwork from the past that will prevent another Great depression? I agree that we should follow the Joads lead.
ReplyDeleteTom did show the family to be tough and not to give up. I like the last sentence of the 1st paragraph and i believe they will survive but only if Ma helps them. We should do what the Joads did and that way we can all stay together help each other if this event happens again.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you with how learning from our past is a very important thing, not only does it help keep us from making huge mistakes, like the ones that caused the Great Depression, but it gives us the wisdom to make future situations more bearable.
