Hey, I'm Taylor. My fun fact was that I have cheered since third grade. I started in competitive then did optimist football club and cheered for the steelers, all the teams are named after NFL teams. When I got into middle school is when I did school cheerleading. I cheered all four years at Delaware Hayes High School for basketball including two years varsity, one of which i cheered for both football and basketball. I also played soccer in middle school and the first two years of high school. I have been in orchestra since fourth grade and I play the violin. Freshman year my high school orchestra got to go to New York where we played at Carnegie Hall. I am a freshman this year at OSU and all my classes are at the Marion campus, my major as of right now is Accounting. I live with my mom in Delaware and my 15 year old sister who is a sophmore at Delaware Hayes. We have two border collies named Ace and Rylee, they are brothers and only 2 years old so they're still puppies and crazy! I also have a 5 year old cat named Karmel, he follows me everywhere in my house and looks for me when I'm not home. I love my family and my friends, with out them I would probably be going no where!
As my favorite buckeye I chose my older sister Erin Niemeyer because I have never met her. We have the same dad but he didn't stick around for her because he was with my mom at the time, but my dad left my mom when my sister and I were very young also. I have lived most of my life with just my mom and I wouldn't have it any other way. Erin was adopted I believe and until two years ago no one from my dads side of the family even knew her real name. Erin studied food, agricultural and biological engineering at main campus for five years. She now lives in Virginia and has a marketing job for a farm company. I would love to meet her some day and I hope to follow her success at The Ohio State University!
Here's a pic stitch of (left) me with my moms boyfriends daughter, i consider her my younger step sister, and (right) my little sister!

How did you find your sister? That's really cool. :)
ReplyDeleteMy dad found my sister but I'm not sure how! My little sister and I just got a random call from him chistmas day of my sophmore year saying he talked to her and met her and he told us a little bit about her. She sent me a friend request on facebook so I finally got to see what she looked like and things about her!
DeleteHello Taylor! What position did you play in soccer? I played mid-field when I was in High School. I live by myself down in Sunbury with my dog who is a 1 year old so I understand what you mean when you say they are crazy! You can't help but love them, though!
ReplyDeleteI was a mid-fielder too! I was always outside middy. And yeah I love both my boys, they're pretty smart dogs when they want to be! I thought it was great that you came back from being in the military by the way! :)
DeleteI have always thought that the violin would be a fun instrument to learn how to play, and I think that going to the Carnegie Hall would be an awesome experience! Is there one thing that you will never forget about that experience?
ReplyDeleteI hope that you one day will get to meet your sister that inspires you as your favorite buckeye.
I love playing the violin, it's not easy to learn though! But once you learn there's so many cool things you can do and songs to play. Our orchestra had pops concerts in the spring so I got to play songs like viva la vida, born this way, and my favorite pirates of the caribbean! I think one thing i will remember is our conductor mixed up our seats so we were placed randomly, not by skill level, and I ended up being the very last violin stand with my best friend since second grade! It was actually fun haha!
DeleteHey I too used to play soccer, I played since I was about 5 all the way until senior year of high school. I never got into playing instruments although that would be really cool to travel and play in front of thousands of people.
