My name is Lorenzo Repaso. I was born in Manila, Philippines. I moved to Ohio when I was eight. At the end of elementary school I had to move to Pennsylvania because of my dad's work. I just moved back to Ohio this summer. I have two sisters and one brother. One of them stayed in Pennsylvania after she graduated from PSU and got a degree in nursing. My other sister is going to DeVry and my little brother just started seventh grade at Sells. I self-taught myself how to play drums. I've been playing for about six years. I've also been skateboarding for a few years now.
My favorite Buckeye is my friend Jose. He was my first friend when I moved to the United States. We lived in the same neighborhood and we often hung out with his friends. He's been a big influence because he introduced me to the music which gave me the reason to start playing drums. He taught me a lot of things which helped me make more friends when I moved to Pennsylvania.

ReplyDeletei think it it pretty awesome that you taught yourself to play the drums, my boyfriend is also a drummer. i wish i would have learned to play some type of instrument growing up. Did you like living in Pennsylvania? i just got back from a weekend trip there, i went to a Pittsburgh Steelers game and had a lot of fun. Do you have a favorite football team?

Moving from the Philippines to the States sounds rough, but moving to Ohio from anywhere sounds even worse. I mean, it's a great state and all (at least it's not Arkansas), but it can be pretty dull at times. Being a drummer sounds cool. Since no one seems to know how to drum anymore (and so they're in high demand), you'll pretty much find yourself in a band instantly.
