Haley Kocher- Alittle bit about myself

Hey Everyone,
My name is Haley Kocher, I am a freshman here at OSUM where I am majoring in Agricultural but undecided as to what direction I want to take in that field. I attended Wynford High School, located in Bucyrus, Ohio where we are famous for our Bratwurst Festival. In high school I was involved in marching and concert band, National Honor Society, and our Interact Club. My fun fact was that I spent two weeks working at the Ohio State Fair. To go along with working at the state fair I have been very active in our county fair. For the past 13 years I have been involved in 4-H where I raise and show Dairy Beef Feeders (cows) on our family farm and at our county fair. Other things I enjoy doing is hanging out with friends, being involved in my church, volunteering in my community, and traveling. I travel a lot to visit family who lives all across the United States and I also went to Costa Rica, an experience I will never forget!
My Favorite Buckeye is my Uncle Don Schriver, he graduated from The Ohio State with a degree in Agriculture economics. He is an avid supporter of the buckeyes! He is apart of the OSU Faculty Club where he donates a lot of his time and money into helping Ohio State. His son used to play in the OSU Marching band and his father was inducted into the Hall of Fame at OSU. The buckeyes are a big apart of my family and my Uncle had a big influence on my decision to come to Ohio State.

  1. I think that is awesome that you got to work at the Ohio State Fair, I've been there several times and it's always been a blast. I'm sure it's a little less fun working there but still must be a unique experience. I never heard of Bucyrus, Ohio which surprised me because I love bratwurst and I would've thought for sure I'd have tried it be now haha.

  2. Hi Hayler, I think its really cool that you want to go into some type of agriculture field, you dont hear about many girls doing something like that. i was also a member of NHS in high school, and i love to volunteer whenever i get the chance. i am so jealous that you got to go to Costa Rica! that sounds like such a cool place to visit. My family are huge OSU fans as well, see you in Public Speaking!
